The pinyin you type can be toned (numbered) or not.
Special joker characters are:
% can be added at the end of your pinyin to search transalted text
/
Examples:
a will display all pinyin equal to a1 or a2 or a3 or a4 or a5
a% will display all pinyin starting with 'a'
/hot will display all pinyin which translation starts with 'hot'
%/hot will display all pinyin with a translation containing 'hot'
Special 'words' are:
% show's all distinct sounds
%/ show's all distinct toned (numbered) pinyin
%/% show's all distinct chinese characters
This checkbox enables to switch from simplified to traditional characters
The filter select enables to search only in the specified category
It also allows to create and add categories
In the list of words of the left panel, you can change the category of a word
You can copy and paste a chinese text in the top right panel... it will automatically be translated in the bottom right panel
You can get back each pinyin word by clicking on it.
If there are multiple solutions, the translation will show the chinese character. Clicking on it will show all the solutions.

arrow down key will put the pinyins in the input box
Keys
1 to 9 and 0 will validate the corresponding item of list
The
enter key will insert item 1 from list
Paging:
Paging shows below the list (the sery of numbers)
Using page up and page down keys will switch pages
The selected page shows in red.
